About Me

I’m Dr. Kearie A. Newman, a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 15 years of experience in psychological assessment and therapy. I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, and my background spans both inpatient facilities and private practice. My work is guided by compassion, collaboration, and a commitment to evidence-based care.

I specialize in psychological assessment and therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, with particular expertise in autism, ADHD, and learning challenges. I also support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, identity development, and life transitions.

Whether I’m providing a comprehensive evaluation or counseling, my goal is to bring clarity, direction, and practical strategies that foster resilience and confidence, while creating a compassionate space for growth and healing.

When appropriate, I collaborate with a trusted medication-prescribing provider to offer clients coordinated care and referrals for medication support.

I see children, teens, and adults virtually in Colorado and Texas, and I am also approved to provide telehealth services in Florida.

  • My path into this field began long before I formally studied psychology. From a young age, I often found myself listening, supporting, and trying to make sense of the emotions around me. Through early experiences with loss, instability, and complex family dynamics, I learned how deeply people need to feel seen, understood, and supported and how transformative it can be when someone sits with you in your story rather than trying to fix or change it.

Those early moments shaped my belief that healing and clarity grow where empathy and curiosity meet. Today, that belief guides my work with clients seeking both therapy and assessments. I am passionate about helping individuals make sense of their experiences, uncover strengths, and build lives that feel grounded, authentic, and aligned with who they are.

Whether in therapy or during an evaluation process, I approach each person with respect, openness, and a commitment to honoring their lived experience. I strive to create a safe and affirming space where clients can explore their identity, understand patterns, process emotions, and move forward with confidence, self-compassion, and meaningful support.

No matter where someone is in their journey seeking clarity, healing, or growth they deserve a space where they are seen fully, understood deeply, and met with care every step of the way.

  • "I’ve have the pleasure of working closely with Dr. Newman and can confidently say she is one of the most compassionate, insightful, and skilled professionals I’ve collaborated with in the field of child psychology. Dr. Newman has a natural ability to connect with children, especially those on the autism spectrum. Her calm presence, patience, and deep understanding of neurodiversity makes her incredibly effective in building trust and creating a safe therapeutic environment. I’ve seen firsthand how children light up around her and how families feel supported and understood in their care. She is particularly strong in helping in the diagnosis of ASD. Her approach is always thoughtful and tailored to each child's unique needs, and she brings a beautiful balance of clinical expertise and heartfelt compassion to her work."
